L3D Studio Returns to the MXGP Series with MXGP26
19/10/2026

L3D Studio continues its long-term collaboration with the MXGP game series, delivering the complete range of rider equipment assets for the latest installment, MXGP26.

With the release of MXGP26, we’re pleased to share another chapter of our work on the franchise. Having contributed to previous installments, our team once again took responsibility for the entire scope of rider equipment asset production.

Over more than three years of collaboration, we’ve had the opportunity to follow the series’ evolution firsthand, adapting our work to its continuously rising visual standards.

Complete Rider Equipment Production

For MXGP26, L3D Studio was entrusted with the full production scope of three rider equipment categories:

∙ Helmets — capturing the distinctive shapes, construction details, and design characteristics of professional motocross helmets.

∙ Goggles — recreating the frames, straps, and other recognizable elements of motocross eyewear.

∙ Boots — modeling the complex layered construction, protective components, buckles, and mechanical details of professional racing footwear.

Our responsibility extended across the entire range of assets within these categories, rather than individual models or selected pieces of equipment.

Maintaining consistent visual quality across such a broad scope is an essential part of large-scale game asset production — and an area where our team has developed substantial experience.

Evolving Visual Standards

One of the most interesting aspects of contributing to successive releases is seeing how quickly expectations for visual quality evolve.

The level of detail that once represented the highest visual standard gradually becomes a new baseline. Each installment brings opportunities for more refined geometry, richer surface details, and increasingly convincing materials.

It’s particularly rewarding to work on a franchise that continues to move forward with modern game development technology rather than standing still.

For our artists, this evolution is both a challenge and a motivation — an opportunity to continually refine our approach and push the quality of our work further.

A Continued Collaboration

Working on the MXGP series for more than three years has given our team valuable experience with the franchise and its evolving artistic and production requirements.

We’re glad to continue contributing to the series and to see the results of our work become part of another released title.

A big thank you to our artists and everyone involved in the production of MXGP26.

And, of course, it’s always a pleasure to see the L3D Studio team recognized in the game credits!
